Nepali is using a translated character for its plural rule, rather than a simple ASCII number. Currently it reads: pluralRule=१ It should probably be: pluralRule=1 Currently Firefox falls back to rule 0. This affects all releases. Thank you. I'll wait to see it landing in the repository before closing this bug, but we should be good. http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-aurora/ne-NP

You need to pick from http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/browser/components/preferences/fonts.xul#92 And for Nepali the right choice is probably x-devanagari?
@flod , I guess we are not supposed to change the "value"s ? For Nepali, the right choice is x-devanagari . Do you mean that I should translate x-western to x-devanagari ?

Do you mean that I should > translate x-western to x-devanagari ? See the comment for that string http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-aurora/ne-NP/file/58a5d17ab177/toolkit/chrome/global/intl.properties#l35 You literally need to put x-devanagari as "translation" for that string (not translate it). It's not really a translation, is a preference.
You should also tweak 'intl.accept_languages' (it's another preference). Right now you're asking websites to give you "en-US" content http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-aurora/ne-NP/file/58a5d17ab177/toolkit/chrome/global/intl.properties#l33 It should be something like: ne-np, ne, en-us, en Which means: first give me ne-NP content, if it's not available ne, then en-US, then en.
Reviewed all strings for intl.properties :) . Corrected two other translations. Should be good now!
