Steps to reproduce:

I open the file .eml, if I open the attached file with a text editor I can see that it contains seven lines. If I click on forward command of this email (or on "Edit as new message" command) and then I open the attached file, I see that it contains eight lines.



Actual results:

With forward command (or on "Edit as new message" command) the attached file changes and contains eight lines.


Expected results:

With forward command (or on "Edit as new message" command) the attached file has not to change and it must still contain seven lines.

This is hardly critical.

When I forward the attached message and drag the attachment to the desktop, it already has 8 lines.
Doesn't look like a compose problem.

In my personal opinion it's right to set the Status as Critical because I think it is very dangerous if a program changes my original file attached.

No news. We have other problems. Thunderbird is an open source project run exclusively be unpaid, stressed and overworked volunteers. If you care about the bug, fix it yourself or hire someone to do it for you.
