From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Q312461; .NET
CLR 1.0.3705)
BuildID: 2002020406
After enabling large fonts under Windows XP, the status bar now leaves only
about 4CM (probably depenant on the resolution) below the toolbars for the web
page display. So in a maximized window, the status bar is vertically stretched
over about 75% of the screen.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable large fonts under the appearance tab of the display properties
2. Run Mozilla
Actual Results: see description
Expected Results: display a normal status bar

I was not able to reproduce this on 2002-02-16-11, Win32, MathML/SVG (Windows XP
Pro).

It happened to me too, after returning from a dos (full screen) window in WinXP.

Marijn, thank you for your comment, but it would help us a lot if you could also
tell us which build you were using. You should be able to find the build ID up
in the title bar.

The build I was using when I got the bug (after using a dos box) is 2002020406

The same bug also affects the mail client and ChatZilla.

i don't know if this is the same bug or not but it is the closest thing i could
find. Windows 2000 is the OS and it just started for me with the build
pictured. *(it also occured in the latest, non-trunk nightly dated 18-Mar-2002
11:54, not sure of that one's build id, sorry)*

Reporter: Did you perform a clean installation (after uninstalling first) and -
if you install by un-zipping: Did you unpack to an empty directory?

This might be related to bug 130331.
Matthew, can you reproduce this bug with a clean install (+new profile) of a
current Mozilla version?
Comment 16•22 years ago
|
||
Yes, changing the windows theme (which changes the font size) makes the status
bar stretched. Closing mozilla (and the quick launch) and starting it again
fixes the problem (in recent builds).
still, reproducable: always

I can't reproduce with Firefox 3.6.x on Windows XP.
I think we can now close this 8 years old bug.
