From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.79 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.17 i686) BuildID: 2002021212 This page (www.rtl.de/rtlworld.html) is quite complex, so I don't know the exact problem. But something on this page completely crashes the mozilla browser while loading this page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to page www.rtl.de/rtlworld.de 2. 3. Actual Results: the Mozilla browser crashes (segmentation fault) Expected Results: Well, Mozilla should display the page :-)
Might be caused by Flash. Could be a dup of bug 122090.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.8+) Gecko/20020216 WFM. Flash movie works ok. Reporter: do you have Flash installed? If so try removing the plugin and see if it still crashes. also, please post talkback ID if you crash.
You are right, it's the Flash plugin. The page loads correctly if I remove it. I used the most recent Flash plugin from Macromedia. This seems to be the first page where it crashes. Anyway, thanks for your support.
Addition: Netscape 4.79 correctly displays the page using the same Flash-binary. So maybe it's not the Flash-Plugin itself but something different. Maybe the JVM (it ShockwaveFlash.class loooks like the Flash-plugin is using Java) or the Browser-Plugin interaction.
please post talkback ID for the crash. this helps a lot in determining where it crashes.
Hmmm. It works perfectly when using your talkback enabled binary. Seems to be a compiler problem *sigh* (I used gcc 2.95.3 with -O6)
see bug 53486. standard builds use -O1. Anything beyond -O2 is risky.
I now tried it with -O2 and it works. Thank you.
Marking WFM as per reporter comments.
