The new home page (https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/new_home/products/Firefox) is supposed to be parity with the old one.

If you go to https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/new_home/products/Firefox and select a specific version you end up going to https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/home/products/Firefox/versions/47.0a2 instead.
If you take that URL an swap the "home" for "new_home" it gives you a 404.
Adrian,
I'm not sure what to think. Parity is one thing. You know, legacy URLs etc.
But why would a user want to go to the home page with only 1 specific version? This page, https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/home/products/Firefox/versions/47.0a2 just seems silly.

What do you think we should do?

I have done that at times to actually see the graph of a single version at its own scale (not being messed up by spikes in a different version). Not used it that often, though, and this can be gotten out of the crashes per day report as well.
It would be a lot more work to remove that option than just leave it. Plus it's useful sometimes.

The parity on the URL is, as you said, not assumed because I hate that when you pass several versions you have to separate them with a semicolon. The new home page is more consistent with Super Search, while keeping that nice /product/Firefox pattern (since it doesn't accept several products).

In my opinion, there is nothing to be done here. All we actually need to do is bug 1261934.

The blockage is still real. I know because I took a stab at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1261934 :)
It fails in crashstats_base.html because you can't replace some of the links there from `crashstats:home` with `home:home`.

I though respect and approve of the un-necessity of being able to view the home page of just one single version. That's not what the home page is all about. And as Kairo said, there are other ways to get that kind of graph.

After a conversation with Adrian, I misunderstood.
When we do https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1261934 we will still be able to have a home page of a single version. However, as part of that bug we need to change how the nav works quite a bit.
Thus, no functionality will be reduced (or enhanced), just that some URLs will look slightly different.
