User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; Win64; x64; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0
Build ID: 20160406030221

Steps to reproduce:

In Firefox 48.0a1 (2016.04.06) visit http://catalog.nypl.org/
Open the Developer Tools.
Select the Options and set to use the Dark theme.
Select the Web Console tool.
Set the filter to show only Network and Logging errors.
Reloaded the page.

Actual results:

The color in the left ribbon than indicates the error type was changed for the Network errors. It was black #000 (the disk is still black), but now it is var(--theme-body-color-alt) [depends on the theme] that with the dark theme is currently #b6babf. This color does not match the disc in the filter button and is very hard to distinguish from the gray used for the Logging errors (category=console), #cbcbcb.

Expected results:

The color should match the disc in the filter button (currently black) and the color should be very different from any of the other colors.
I think this change should have never affected the Light theme, and the solution chosen for the Dark theme needs to be re-evaluated: Try using a linear gradient to make the black ribbon stand out regardless of the dark background, or change both the ribbon color and the disc to something else like pink [var(----theme-highlight-pink)].
Component: Untriaged → Developer Tools: Console
Product: Firefox → DevTools
The console was totally redesigned so this does not apply anymore.
