Details
It looks like SeaMonkey 2.40 is unsigned and OSX won't allow me to open it as it's from an unidentified developer. I can bypass these controls in my Security & Privacy preferences, but I don't feel this is appropriate for a project that has been around for so long. There are many benefits to code signing - it would be great to see this app signed.

We agree on the "it would be great" -- we just haven't had the systems to support any signing infrastructure in a secure way so far. This has been the largest pain point for our OSX users (and to a lesser extent windows users, since windows users need to accept a UAC prompt every update).
Should this be DUP'd to Bug 817383 - SeaMonkey needs new (public) GPG key, in order to support signing releases properly
