Steps to reproduce:

Navigate to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
uncheck the email option
click 'download now'


Actual results:

The "Thanks for downloading quicktime" webpage shows, however Quicktime does not download. The dialog box that asks if you want to save the file does not even show. It is as if no download was initiated at all.


Expected results:

upon clicking "Download now" on the Apple Quicktime website, the download should start.
