User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0
Build ID: 20160407164938
Steps to reproduce:
I created a new tab and went to
http://stats.stackexchange.com/questions/94886/what-is-the-relationship-between-the-gini-score-and-the-log-likelihood-ratio/95459
Actual results:
mathjax does not display on that site. Moreover, mathjax does not appear in any other stackexchange site that I went to afterward.
When I go to the console, this is the result:
The resource at "https://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js" was blocked because tracking protection is enabled.[Learn More] 95459
The resource at "http://edge.quantserve.com/quant.js" was blocked because tracking protection is enabled.[Learn More] 95459

Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. jquery.min.js:3:659
When I looked up what tracking protection is, it says that it is only enabled for private tabs. However, I did not open a private tab.
Expected results:
Was expecting mathjax to work and not stop working on other sites.
Could you attach a screenshot on your side, please.
Mine seems to be fine.

Added screenshot.png.
I don't know what the flags mean. First time I submitted a bug.
Note: I'm pretty sure this is only affecting my work computer. I don't think I have the issue at home.
On your screenshot, there is a shield in the location bar, so that means tracking protection is enabled.
Type about:config and search for the string "privacy.trackingprotection.enabled". What's its value?
If it's true, switch to its default value false and force a refresh of the webpage.
Is it better now?

Totally working now. Thanks.
Any idea how it would have gotten turned on? I don't remember that being a default before.

I don't recall testing it. However, when I run Firefox in safe mode, then the shield doesn't shows up on other sites. This suggests it is an add-on, right? I don't think it's AdblockPlus. Maybe RefControl?
I used to be able to view the disqus comments from the work computer, but for at least the past few months I haven't. These sites also had the shield and I was hoping that unchecking the shield would fix it, but it didn't. I tried opening it in safe mode and the disqus comments still don't load. So it seems to be a separate issue.

I don't think it's related to native MathML. IIUC, it's just that MathJax is blocked when trackingprotection is enabled.

The funny thing is I'm not able to reproduce the blocking after enabling TP.

Based on what you said, I realized it must be an about:config setting I changed at one point or another. When I disabled it in there, then the issue went away.
I'm not sure why you weren't able to reproduce it after enabling it though.
