(Keywords: crash)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0
Build ID: 20160412225428

Steps to reproduce:

Went to this page:

http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/13615652.GCSE_RESULTS__All_the_2015_GCSE_results_from_Bradford_district_schools_and_colleges/

Used the Ctrl+F and started searching for things like '/0' and '11/0'. Firefox promptly crashed.

Actual results:

[1] 4293 segmentation fault (core dumped) firefox

Expected results:

It should have searched the strings inputted as normal and highlighted them all on the screen.
Summary: Memory Error → Memory Error (segmentation fault (core dumped))
Firefox version: 45.0.2
OS: Arch Linux (linux 4.4.5-1)
Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Keywords: crash
Product: Firefox → Core
The crash doesn't reproduce here, so we need a stack trace of the crash to have a chance of addressing this.

If the Firefox build came from Mozilla, then it should have prompted to submit a crash report. Can you get that from about:crashes, please?

If the Firefox build came from Arch, then best to first file a bug with them. They may have their own crash reporting advice, and can redirect to the appropriate project when they have more information.
works for me on Ubuntu 16.04 with Nightly 51.0a1, 20160823030224
