Hi,

As has just been reported to us, there is a German snippet on about:home that reads

> Abonnieren Sie den Newsletter und erfahren Sie kurz und bundig, wie Sie das Beste aus Ihrem Firefox herausholen. Abonnieren Sie Firefox + Du.

It should be „bündig“, not „bundig“. However, I cannot find the source of that snippet, the closest I find is from March 2016 <https://github.com/mozilla-l10n/engagement-l10n/blob/master/de/snippets/2016/mar2016.lang#L224>. It doesn’t have the typo but keeps the limit of 140 characters. The current string with the error is 141 characters long.

Any idea as to how I can fix this issue? Thanks!

We talked about this a few days ago on IRC. 

As far as I can tell the snippet has already been pulled. Can you confirm that?

Also, do you have any idea if it's possible to figure out where the problem was? I can think of bad copy&paste, rendering issue of ü, dashboard actually not storing the ü correctly.

It's mostly to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future.

Yes, this snippet has been pulled.  

I just tested it by copy / paste.  The service seemed to take it in the Preview mode (see attached).  

Jean - Let's keep an eye on it with these next translations for German.  Hopefully - it was just a one-off fluke.

I think you tested the text that appeared (with "bundig"). The snippet to test would be with "bündig"

Thank you for investigating. Do I understand correctly that this snippet is no longer in use and is thus no longer visible to users? I haven’t seen it anymore.

A comment on the screenshot: curiously it says „ünd erfahren Sie kurz und bundig“. The „ü“ seems to have shifted to the wrong position.

Yes, it's not displayed anymore.

Ah, I missed that. I guess Jean added a ü somewhere in the text to check if everything worked, so no real point in testing with the actual snippet. I think we're good here.
