The brower's back or forward buttons do not work. This is on Linux Mandrake 8.1 with Mozilla 0.9.8. There is a similar error with the Windows version.
WFM, build 20020214 Win2K
Reporter: Can you try a new profile ? (run "mozilla -profilemanager" to create a second, additional test account)

With a new profile the error went away. The history setting was the problem which was not set for this profile. As it was a fresh install of a new Mozilla version - with an old profile in place though - I did not expect such a simple error. The only I can do here now is to make a suggestion for improvement: Would it be worthwile changing the mouse tip-over information whenever such a setting invalidates the very existence of these buttons (or change the button images)?
