Device: Samsung Galaxy S6 EDGE (Android 5.1.1 );
Build: Nightly 48.0a1 (2016-04-17);

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open http://goo.gl/tVxW3Z
2. Close tab and go to History
3. Long tap on previous visited page and tap on "Open in New Tab" or "Open in Private Tab"
4. Minimize the app

Expected result:
Step 3 The video starts playing
Step 4 The video should be paused and no audio should be played

Actual result:

Step 4: The played video's audio is heard while the app is minimized
Mihai,
What you said "Minimize" is to push FireFox to the background?

Hi Blake,
Yes, when pushing Firefox to the background or when opening another app (e.g. youtube app and playing a video)

On a side note, i've seen several bugs in which it's discussed that the media files should play in the background : 1226730, 963540 so eventually this one might be invalid
This is expected behavior for Firefox.

Mihai,
For your information, after bug 1240423 is landed, users can easily pause the video if they don't want to play it.
