Sort order is not saved in empty folders

Details
It is impossible to install a sort order in an empty folder or the empty list.
Each time after the folder becomes empty, a sort order reverts back to
"Order Received". See Bug# 112735

Bug 112735 is a WFM since there was no reply from reporter, and this bug report
