From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204 BuildID: 2002020415 When I paste a large amount of information into the "No proxy for:" text box it kills my Xfree86 4.0 server. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: http://www.ssmedia.com/Utilities/hosts/ -- Use this url and go to the section where you click the "here" url and it will highlight all of the links to add to the "No proxy for:" Once you do this, if you use your 3rd mouse button for pasting it into the "No proxy for:" in Mozilla this will crash your X server. I did it 3 times each with the same result. I am not sure if this is a problem with you, or Xfree86, but I am reporting it to both. Actual Results: X server dies with "Caught Signal 11" every single time I do this. Expected Results: Not killed my X server. :-P I do know not whether or not mozilla is causing this problem or it is something with the X server, but I figured you guys/girls should test it on other machines to see what happens.
Can't confirm using 2002021821 with XFree86 4.2. I've pasted the text into my proxy-preferences, that's what you did, isn't it? This could be the bug stated in http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/pohletz_x11_consuming_mem.html which has been fixed in 4.2. I see this from time to time on my machine with 4.1.x, but I'm not sure whether it's related to mozilla.

Can you still reproduce this in a recent nightly ( or even 0.9.9 )? Maybe it's an X problem? Could you upgrade or is that too much trouble?
