Normally (including with 0.9.7) I have double-sided printing. With 0.9.8 this is
no longer possible. In Print/Properties/Paper I select double-sided printing,
but in fact the document is only printed single-sided. And this in spite of the
double-sided printing option remaining selected. My printer is a HP Deskjet
690C, and I never have any problem with double-sided printing with any other
programme including previous versions of Mozilla.
Douglas, click on Properties button, then More Options, then you'll
see the duplex printing options..

IF you still can't find it, or it does not work for some reason,
then REOPEN this bug...thanks.

The suggested solution is what I always do. But with 0.9.8 it no longer works,
that is to say although I have checked the double-sided printing option (and it
remains checked) it has no effect. I click Print and then Properties. The
Properties screen (with the HP logo in the corner) shows three tabs:
Configuration, Paper and Services. The duplex printing options appear when one
clicks Paper. The problem is that in 0.9.8 these options remain without effect
when one chooses them. I have just checked the printing of the same document in
Netscape 4.7, and there is no problem there, I get double-sided printing. I am
therefore certain that this is a genuine bug in Mozilla 0.9.8.

Ever confirmed: true
sujay, do we have a printer in MV that supports double-sided printing?
I think this is a driver issue as long as we are not touching the dmDuplex field
in the DevMode. Which I just tested and the dmDuplex is true and I have verified
that the following values are being set:
DMDUP_SIMPLEX
DMDUP_VERTICAL
DMDUP_HORIZONTAL

And the DevMode is not being altered from this point until the DC is created for
printing. So I don't thimnk it is anything we are doing.

The best test, of coarse, is if sujay can find a printer in MV and test IE and
then us.

PLease unfuture if sujay can make this happen.

I just tried it out using 2/27 trunk commercial build on Win 98.
I can print doubles-sided with no problems at all:

1) launch netscape
2) jump to Netscape.com home page
3) Print
4) go into Properties
5) click on More Options
6) click on "Flip on long edge" option
7) click OK on that panel
8) click on OK on properties panel
9) click OK on print dialog panel to send the job

I go to the printer and I see the pages double-sided.

Worksforme. am I missing something?

Make sure you click OK in all panels, if you miss clicking the
OK button in step 8), then it won't print double-sided.
Apart from double-sided printing, other printing parameter changes do not work
within Mozilla 0.9.8 e.g. print quality, number of copies etc. This is so for
both Windows 95/Printer HP 690C and Windows 2000/Printer HP670C. However, all
these problems (including double sided printing) can be readily worked around by
changing the printing parameters within the basic configuration of the printer
(e.g. My computer/Printers) rather than within Mozilla.
Douglas, can you fiole a separate bug for the other problems you are mentioning?
I'd appreciate it...thanks.
double sided printing worksforme in latest build ...Douglas, you are
using an old build...please upgrade to latest build.
Yes, this problem is solved in Build 2002022703.
