Please create the patch for disabling linux64 debug builds and tests in buildbot, and coordinate with #taskcluster and sheriffs to turn these off ASAP.

lgtm.  As Selena mentioned, it would be good to coordinate with #taskcluster and sheriffs to ensure that that taskcluster builds appear as the tier1 builds from now on.

As per IRC discussion with Joel Maher, Linux64 debug jobs have been toggled to be tier-1 a few weeks ago. Are you aware of anything else that prevents us from landing the patch above?

I think we should be good to land it, assuming it doesn't disable them for anything older than Firefox 47 like it claims.

Attaching a new patch. When I tried to land the first version, Travis issued an error stating that "There are downstream builders without upstream builders to trigger them.". As I could see in the logs, the tests in discussion were Ubuntu VM large tests, so I updated the patch to remove them as well.

One thing that I'd like to clarify before going further is related to the builders difference from the file attached. As is it, the patch will remove some several buildbot SpiderMonkey builders (I don't know why they didn't show up when I computed the first difference). We don't seem to have TC equivalent for them.

The question would be: do we want to remove the above mentioned buildbot builders as well?

oh great find. can we keep the spidermonkey build around?  I didn't realize we had overlooked something.  in fact we don't have taskcluster on all the other branches.

we also don't have jobs on all the branches, so until the 2 dependent bugs are resolved, lets not land this.

Will need to ask for review again :-)

As mentioned above, I updated the patch to also remove those Ubuntu VM large tests which were causing issues. Re-tested the patches and found no issues.

Selena made the announcement for this change in a reply on the e-mail thread 'Tier-1 for Linux 64 Debug builds in TaskCluster on March 14 (and more!)', so I think we can mark this as resolved.
