User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 Build ID: 20160421124000 Steps to reproduce: When I paste plain text (in Times New Roman, the same font as is being used in Thunderbird) from Word into the compose window in Write, the pasted text appears smaller (about 1 or 2 points) than text that has been typed into the compose window. Actual results: The pasted text appears smaller (about 1 or 2 points) than text that has been typed into the compose window. Furthermore, highlighting the pasted text and using Write's tools to try to adjust the font size does not cause the size of the pasted text to change. Expected results: I would have expected the pasted text to have been sized to match the text that had been typed in. Lacking this, I would have expected to be able to adjust the size of the pasted text to match the size of the text that had been typed in. This problem appeared several versions before 45.0.

Yes, when copying text from MS Office applications, it mostly gets pasted with CSS properties. This is a known problem, as you confirmed, it has been present for a long time, in fact, forever.
