Cannot drag attachments from email to Windows Explorer folder

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2661.94 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Using Windows 10 Professional 64-bit and Earlybird version 48.0a2 (2016-05-01), I cannot drag individual file attached to the email to a folder on my Windows C:\ path. I believe it used to work, or else I would have already known it, since I drag files out of email often.
I can drag the entire .eml file from the inbox to the c:\Blah folder, and I can do Save As on any attached file in the email to place it in the C:\Blah folder. But, if I try to drag-and-drop any single file out of the email attachments to c:\Blah it simply does not copy the file.
I have a laptop with the same exact setup, and it works just fine, but on my desktop (described above), it has stopped working.
I even tried running Eearlybird in Safe Mode with all add-ons turned off. I also tried "Run as Administrator" when starting Earlybird, but still doesn't work.
Any advice or hints?
Actual results:
When you let go of the mouse click that you were using to drag the file to a Windows Explorer folder, the file is not copied to the folder.
Expected results:
It should place a copy of the selected attached file into the destination folder in Windows Explorer.

Very well, it is a duplicate. Reading the comments on the other bug report, it appears that your team thinks they have fixed the issue. I am now running Earlybird 48.0A2 (2016-05-02), yet I still have the same issue. So, can you advise when will the fix make it into the Earlybird release? Or is there something else I need to do to get mine working again?

The patch of bug 1267259 is not landing on 48.0a2 yet.
If I switch over to Beta version, would I get this fix?
Any guess on how much longer before it will be released in Earlybird?

It's been fixed in Daily (TB 49). I've requested Aurora uplift, but nothing has happened yet. Should be in Earlybird in the next few days. You have to watch bug 1267259.

The change has landed on Aurora just now, so Earlybird compiled tomorrow May 4th, will be OK.
Yes, I can confirm it is working now. Thank you!

How long will it take before you notice that dragging addresses to another address book doesn't work in that version either? ;-) Bug 1269713.
I'm onto it, it will land on trunk once I've got the review and I'll uplift to TB 48. With that fixed, TB 48 would be the best Thunderbird we have ever shipped ;-)

Matt, the address drag from address book to another one is fixed, too. Get Earlybird version 48.0a2 (2016-05-05) and you'll be right.

Thanks, I'll check that out too. I don't use the Address book all that much, but I'll be glad to give it a test drive and report any problems if I see them.

You have to try it now to see that you can't drag an address from one book to another. Then try it again tomorrow and it will work. By default you have two address books, "Personal Address Book" and "Collected Addresses".

Yes, I tried it. Indeed, it will not let me drag from one address book to another. It gives me the circle with a slash through it, indicating no-can-do.
So, I'll check after the next Earlybird update.
