Trunk build 2002-04-08: WinMe, Linux RH 7.1, ok.
Trunk build 2002-02-22: Linux RH 7.1, ok.
Mozilla build 0.9.9: WinMe, ok.
The address book window opens without a freeze/crash using the above builds.
Can you try Mozilla 0.9.9. What happens in a new profile? Please supply detailed
steps, if this continues, so we can try to duplicate the problem.

Doesn't happen anymore on build 2002040103. I think it can be switched to INVALID.
I'm seeing similar behaviour on windows NT with 2002041711. (1.0RC1)
If I start the address book with a browser window already open a blank address
window will open and the browser window will come to the top. After that the
load on the machine sky rockets and the windows just sit there until I kill mozilla.
If I start the address book from the mail window and a browser window is not
open, a blank(not filled) address book window will come up _and_ a new browser
window will be opened with "http://find/". The browser will then sit there but
it does not completely hang. I can still type in URLs and mozilla renders them
(much much much slower than normal). The menus don't work though and I can't
move or exit any of the windows. During this period BTW the mail window and the
address book window will be completely unresponsive. (AB window also still blank)
Creating a new profile and using it works around the problem. If I switch back
to my old profile, the problem still exists.
I was also able to get around the problem by
deleting the .mab file from my profile directory.
(Also found an old .nab file there which I also
deleted).
In 1.0RC3 I still get the "http://find" browser to come up but non of the
mozilla windows freeze.
