What did you do? ================ 1. Followed instruction as per https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/SDK/Tutorials/Getting_Started_%28jpm%29 2. I'm using Firefox ESR 45.0 3.  What happened? ============== New firefox browser opens, but no icon as said in tutorial What should have happened? ========================== Should worked as per documentation. Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== Nothing else, please fix the tutorial documentation.

The tutorial works fine for me. (Firefox 46, OS X, jpm 1.0.7). Could you please zip up the contents of your "my-addon" directory and attach it to this bug, so I can take a look?
Hello, Thanks for the reply. I found that the issue is specific to one machine. I'll look into it. As of now, close this bug. I'll reopen if i find the root cause. Thanks
