[Affected versions]: Nightly Oak build [Affected platforms]: Mac OS X 10.11 Mac OS X 10.10 Mac OS X 10.9 [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Have 1 admin user and 1 standard user 2. Install Nightly using the admin user (from http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/2016/04/2016-04-19-10-56-54-oak/firefox-48.0a1.en-US.mac.dmg) 3. Switch to standard user 4. Before starting as standard user in about:config please set the app.update.url.override pref and be sure that the profile you're using has the auto-update set to manual(check for updates/but let me choose whether to install them). 5. Add string for the above pref: app.update.url.override -> http://people.mozilla.org/~spohl/bug394984/oak/update.xml 6. Check for updates 7. Restart the browser to apply updates 8. Elevated Update: Input the admin credentials 9. Firefox is updated to the version mentioned in http://people.mozilla.org/~spohl/bug394984/oak/update.xml 10. Go to about:config - reset the pref: app.update.url.override 11. Restart Nightly 12. Check for updates (normal update is detected as available). 13. Restart the browser to apply updates 14. Go to about:support "Updated history" and check if the 2 updates are recorded. [Expected result]: In "Updates History" 2 updates are recorded: the override update as specified in XML and the normal update. [Actual result]: In "Updates History" only 1 update is recorded. [Additional notes]: From the three possible scenarios that can be checked: 1. admin(install)->user(updates) 2. user1(install)->user2(updates) 3.admin1(install) ->admin2(updates) -this issue reproduces only in the first two cases

Hi Ovidiu, now that Oak is back in a consistent state could you double-check this issue? You can close this bug if the issue no longer reproduces. Thanks!

For the moment I can't reproduce this issue, due to this I will close it.
