Steps to reproduce:

Using GroupWise 8.x & 2014 R2:
1. If I create 'meeting' invitation and send it, on Thunderbird mail is comming and everything is ok
2. If someone else send 'meeting' invitation from GroupWise, Thunderbird crash after recieving mail and will crash all the time till 'meeting invitation' mail will be delete from GroupWise account or till Lightning addon is turned off.

Expected results:

Meeting invitation should appear in calendar.
OS: Unspecified → Windows 7
Can you please attach the email causing the crash to this bug (the complete email not just the event part)? If you want to obfuscate some information for privacy reasons, please make sure to not change information structure.

What other addons do you have installed? Does the issue also occur if you disable all of them but Lightning?

Are you on TB45.0 or already on TB45.1? Can you provide also the crash signature?

I'am using Thunderbird 45.1.0 and I've got only Lightning addon installed.
I attached Tests.eml content with mail addresses x-ed hope it's enough.

Thank you, there in no crash report. I wrote it a bit unclear sorry for that.
By crash I mean that Thunderbird is stopping to response I cannot click anything, cannot do anything.
It freez and only option to close it is to end process from windows task manager.

Lightning hangs because in the calendar there is an attendee not well formatted with a double parameter PARTSTAT.

If you can't import an edited ics file, you could workaround the issue by enabling the ical.js backend with the preference "calendar.icaljs" but please keep in mind that ical.js is still experimental and it has others issues.
