It seems the slave is reachable but running at a lower resolution. Rebooting it did not make any difference. [cltbld@t-yosemite-r7-0338.test.releng.scl3.mozilla.com ~]$ system_profiler SPDisplaysDataType | grep Resolution Resolution: 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz

that was weird. 1600x1200 was an option. ive set it to the required resolution, rebooted and confirmed it keeps the config. let me know if issues persist and we can look into replacing the EDID.
