It would be a nice thing if [mouse] selections and search results alike were marked in a more distinguished way. Take a bloated web page for example, it's not always so easy to find a search result markup. What I was thinking was if the selection could be somehow "moving" (sort of like the TV screen with no reception). It should be possible to do without decreasing the legibility of the text. That would separate the selection or search result from other things such as highlighted text, making it easier to find. FYI, This was also posted in the Gnome Bugzilla as http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72289
Severity: normal → enhancement
Summary: Make search results (highlighting) easier to look up → [RFE] Make search results (highlighting) easier to look up
The browser window scrolls so that the search result is at the bottom of the screen. It's not hard to spot the selection. Adding an animation would just be distracting.
