I tried to do the really simple thing here, and that worked on non-Windows platforms.  Not really sure what's going on with Windows though, the vsync thread doesn't shut down or gets restarted or something.  Any ideas Mason?

Can you just add a comment explaining why it's not being shutdown with the rest of gfxPlatform even though it's init there?
