User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2661.102 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Main window of Thunderbird, I select an email. Just above the email itself is a bar containing a button "Options" Actual results: This should happen for the first time I select an email from this sender. Expected results: On this same line I should also have the button to "Show" the content of the email. It is absurd that I have to go throw a menu for every email I want to see all of. Put the show button AND the Options button together. ALSO, in the Options Menu, have a selection for "ALWAYS Show hidden content for this sender." Once it has been selected for a certain sender, the option would then read "Do Not show ...." Again, Why go through these menu options for every email the sender sends me. This change would save a lot of time and clicks.

Are you really on version 3.0?

Summary: Need to change some controles → show remote content options
This should work as you expect. If you click "Allow remote content from <sender>" it should only be needed once for that sender. Just note we do not recommend allowing the sender, as that can be spoofed. Allowing an URL is safer. So if it does not work for you (and you are on TB45) please attach a screenshot of the contents of the dropdown menu you see.
