If tabbing is such a problem for people, why isn't it mentioned on www.mozilla.org? Some people like tabs (like me), some people like spaces (I hate them). So, some use tabs, some use 2 spaces, some use 4 spaces. Why isn't there some kind of agreement reached and reflected on www.mozilla.org's hacking pages?
Lack of hackers documentation is not a bug in the browser. ->Documentation
