The DOM Apps code creates confusing prefs called gecko.mstone and gecko.buildID that have been misinterpreted by others in the past as a way to get the gecko milestone and buildID. In fact, they represent the last time the DOM Apps code has run its registration code. They should be renamed appropriately.
