according to: http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/xpinstall/packager/windows/config.it#997 the reason why we have stuff like "seamonkey" in the reg.db is that the JRE hasn't been update to look for the new location. But after JRE 1.4 has been released this is now obsolete. I even think it was in JRE 1.3.1a as well. So there's no need to spam the registry with old keys anymore.
this should be fixed with mozilla 1.0.
this really should be fixed! http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/xpinstall/packager/windows/config.it#1054 JRE no longer has to detect Mozilla plugin folder since Mozilla auto detects JRE.
