nexus-6p-8 disconnected from usb on host autophone-3 about 8:41 PM 2016-05-20 and did not reconnect after a reboot. The previous disconnection for nexus-6p-8 occurred only the day before. Since 2016-05-20 autophone-3 suffered another usb disconnection for nexus-6p-4 but it recovered during a host reboot. van, stephend: Can you disconnect/reconnect nexus-6p-8 again? Also, please check that the connections are secure on either end and please check that the vibration is completely off in case vibration over time causes the connection to loosen? Settings -> Sound & notification Also vibrate for calls - off Other sounds Vibrate on touch - off

:bc, i found a short 6 inch usb to usb c cable that i swapped out with the current one. please let me know if it improves. since we ordered these cables from monoprice, i'd suggest ordering a few more as spares since monoprice isn't known for having the best quality cable. ive also read that usb c cables can have issues like the apple lightning cables where they are prone to failure.

I used Benson's review @ https://plus.google.com/+BensonLeung/posts/3CaRk48cT3P to pick these http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=13002. Supposedly the same as Google's with an excellent rating. I don't know how else to pick a cable. It seems like such a crap shoot. I'm not sure if this is a cable issue or if it isn't related to the Unit Tests Mdm, Mm and Msk that are running on the device. My next step will be to stop running the Unit Tests on this device and see if it helps the reliability. Thanks for fixing it. I've added it back into rotation and we'll see how it goes. If it disconnects again relatively soon, I'll go ahead and do the Unit Test shuffle.
