1275615 - New tab page should send strings through webchannels

The origin "https://content.cdn.mozilla.net" was special cased to allow the new tab page code to send objects through webchannels as part of bug 1238128. As part of the work for bug 1274512, eventually we'd like to remove this special case, so it should only send strings.

Note that you probably don't want to change the server to unconditionally send strings yet as all channels other than Nightly will not accept the newly formatted data. The easiest approach may be to wait until 51 or so is on the release channel, declare that you no longer care about versions earlier than 49 working with this feature then unconditionally make the change. UA-sniffing might be another option.
