My initial finding is that this not likely to happen with currently defined tables. http://people.mozilla.org/~dhardison/reports/bugzilla-id-usage/ However nagios alerting that looks at the information schema and reported on this for all current and *future* tables would be good.
It looks like it might be possible to use https://github.com/moritz/mysql-check-autoincrement Probably a fubar thing?
