User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0
Build ID: 20160315153207
Steps to reproduce:
Double click on the Firefox 45.0.1 icon in the desktop. Nothing was wrong about the start up and all.
Actual results:
On the upper right hand side of the screen a prompt came up showing Firefox (null) available.
Expected results:
May be Firefox not able to read the new version info.
Does it happen in safe mode or with a fresh profile?

Amal, can you tell us what version of Linux you're using, and how you installed Firefox?
