User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.63 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: replying to an email, deleting an email. Thunderbird becomes unresponsive. Not all the time, every so often. Actual results: Windows 10 on Dell
tart *Windows'* safe mode with networking enabled - win10 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/change-startup-settings-in-windows-10 Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird Does problem go away?

I've already got t-bird running with add-ons disabled and in safe mode. I don't wish to run win10 in safe mode - this problem with t-bird only happens once in a while. This never happened when I was on the previous release. Can I back out 45.1.1 and run on an earlier release?
These issues tend to be caused by something other than Thunderbird, hence the request to test windows in safe mode. Many issues are listed at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Memory_Usage_Problems Thunderbird 38 is near end of life, so it would not be a great idea to sit back at that release. If you can't do safe mode than someone in support can advise you https://support.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird
