Steps to reproduce:

I just get a message that a "New" version of Firefox Developer Edition is available and I accept the update. I go tho Help, I see than it has updated,
The next day I get the SAME prompt about updating to the VERY SAME version.
This happens already for months.


Actual results:

The browser updates.


Expected results:

I should never get a prompt to update to the SAME version I update EVER DAY.
This happpended ALSO with version 47.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS, GUYS FROM MOZILLA!!!

Hi,
Dev Edition is expected to update very frequently, as often as changes are landing on mozilla-aurora repo, up to one build per day. While the prompt displays the same version number (currently 48.0a1), this is not the same revision, thus not the same software.

If the frequent updates are annoying you, please consider using Firefox Beta or Release channel.
