User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0
Build ID: 20160604131506

Steps to reproduce:

1. On Linux Mint Debian Edition I manually installed Firefox 46 and I did not have this bug.
2. When Firefox 47 was released today I upgraded it by copying and replacing all files in /opt/firefox.
3. Now I go to about:preferences.
4. I click on "Content", "Applications", "Security" or "Sync".

The attached gif shows a screen record of this.

Actual results:

On the right side nothing is displayed. There is an empty pane.
For all other items in the preferences (such as "General" or "Search") everything works as expected.

Expected results:

All panes should display it's content.
Has STR: --- → yes
Component: Untriaged → Preferences

FYI #mainPrefPane is also empty.
Cannot reproduce it anymore... :(

Here is what I did:
1. Restart Firefox in safe-mode to test whether it is reproducible there too. Result: It is not!
2. Restart in normal mode again to test which add-on causes this.
3. First guess is CanvasBlocker https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/canvasblocker/ so I disabled it (adon needs no restart)
4. Accessing the settings again. Result: Not reproducible!
5. Enabling CanvasBlocker again and testing again. Result: Still not reproducible!

If you think this might still be an issue you can of course reopen it. I'm willing to provide more information or trying to reproduce it again if you want.

I do not have any extensions enabled and I experienced this. Starting in Safe Mode and restarting in normal mode fixed it.
Actually this issue is randomly happening again. Only on Linux though.

@PhistucK Do you also use Linux? The prebuild binaries by Mozilla?

I am using Windows 7 and a regula Firefox installation.

The next time it happens please open up the DevTools console and see what error it shows. Thanks.
