User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Build ID: 20160607030217

Steps to reproduce:

Changed the default Windows text sizes at Control Panel|Display to 20
installed some extensions.
Went to about:addons

Actual results:

Add-on names were truncated after a few characters because they weren't allocated very much space relative to how much space they take up using font metrics gathered in part from Windows default font sizes.

Expected results:

Display should have taken advantage of space to the right or below of space currently assigned to text.

I have tested your issue on latest FF release 47.0 and latest Nightly build 20160612030220 and could not reproduce it( see attachment add-ons.png)
Please download the Firefox Nightly from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and retest the problem.

If you still have the issue please create a new profile, you have the steps here:https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Please test if the issue can be reproduced in the safe mode of Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Maybe you don't understand the problem, because I can see the problem right in your screenshot. When an extension gets cut off with ... especially when you haven't got through the first word and you can't tell what the name of the extension is, I call that not displaying properly.

Also, the size of the monitor will determine whether you can display 6 or 10 characters, but it's still way too few
Took a closer look on a monitor. Earlier I was on my phone. and the same amount of space is allocated in my screenshot and yours. The only difference is that in yours, "Download YouTube ..." doesn't have an options button so it uses the space the options button would have occupied. There really is no good reason for those buttons to have to be on the same line.

I don't see that this is really a Layout:Text bug, it's about the design of about:addons not coping well with a large default font size. As such, it seems like a front-end UI-design issue. Moving to the Addons Manager component.

about:addons has been redesigned since this report. large text + small window will still result in overflow, but there are minimum sizes now for the addon cards. While an elipse is still used, the length displayed is much more than in the past. Ultimately, as with other about pages, this page is designed for a desktop layout and doesn't deal well with large text + small window.
