User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0 Build ID: 20160604131506 Steps to reproduce: I upgraded from Firefox 45 branch to firefox 47 branch. (Windows7 64bit) Actual results: Some plugin icons are missing from the plugins manager; uninstalling and reinstalling the affected plugin doesn't fix the issue (icons just disappear after reboot). Expected results: Every plugin listed in the plugin manager should have an icon on its right.

Hi, I tested on Win 7 x64 with FF 47 release and I can't reproduce it. I installed a FF 45 release version in italian, I installed some add-ons that I saw in print screens that you have on your profile and after that I update FF 45 to FF 47. Everything works as expected, the icons are well displayed.

I noticed that the second profile I use doesn't miss any icon, really strange. Is there some setting that may be relevant? Like some cache? Creating my main profile again would be quite a chore, with all the customizations, plugin settings, ...
Just to be clear, did you try with new profile and you didn't reproduce the issue?

I have 2 firefox profiles, the main one and a secondary one (less used). 1st one exibit the issue, 2nd one doesn't. Both profiles have the same setting, all plugin are updated. Adding the affected plugins of the first profile to the 2nd profile: they don't exibit the issue. Creating a new profile: doesn't exibit the issue. That's why I was asking if there's some setting that may be relevant, since I'm not to keen of starting from a clean profile...
I think I found out the cause of this. It was caused by a strict blocking rule that I set up using uBlock Origin. Basically I was blocking any net request from the about:addons page, and those plugin needed to call mozilla.net. While creating an ad-hoc rule does solve the issue I reported (now I can see all the icons) it doesn't explain why some addon need to connect to mozilla.net to show it. Nor it explains why it started on version 47, since I made that rule ages ago. Maybe it could be caused by an uBlock Origin update, but I don't remember any major update that would change how rules are parsed and cause that.
Sounds like this is resolved invalid. If you disagree please re-open.

It's OK, I didn't think of closing it myself. It's obviously INVALID because it's not a Firefox bug. Actually, it's not even a bug.
