Open Chrome and FF

Browse to http://www.tampabay.com/news/health/mayo-clinic-qa-high-cholesterol-at-age-11-soda-and-blood-pressure/2281028


Chrome works much faster and scrolls much quicker. FF takes absolutely ages to load.

At first I thought it was just some sites, but whether these are internal Wiki pages at work, or Facebook or any random site, the performance seems to be way down.

I tried a safe mode (as I have Roboform installed) but that did not seem to matter as well.

Here are the "top" pages for the same set of pages open with Safari and FF

- after the tabs are open (Youtube running a 480p video) new tabs stutter, keep getting the "round circling cursor) and CPU seems stable but Mem tops out.

With either Chrome or Safari, the same set of opened pages, the new tabs open without any issues, there are no screen freezes and no stuttering

Hi Ayan, 

I was tested this issue on MacBook Pro OS X 10.11 with Firefox Nightly 50.0a1(2016-06-12) and I can't reproduce it. Please note that I didn't made any update to Mac 10.11.5 I already had that OS version on my Mac. From what I see you have some extensions, so maybe a new profile test or safe mode will help.

Please test if the issue can be reproduced in the safe mode of Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
