Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204
BuildID: 2002020415

the java applet doens't get loaded. Netscape 4.79 loads something , a menu , but
it isn't usable anyway

The status bar shows: "java applet not initialized"

I'm not sure if I chose the right component, I only know this is a Java applet

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to the url mentioned
2.look at the page
3.verify the message :"java applet not initialized"

Actual Results: what I already described

Expected Results: I'd like to see the java applet

Probably the morons at my univ didn't test this at a non IE browser
Doesn't load in a current CVS Linux either:

Is there another page you can point to that shows this behavior? I get a 404
Not found error. I am trying to see if the problem I have is this bug or is
related to a plug-in not installed correctly issue.
Thanks
wfm, as nobody can reproduce it. reopen if you can.
