Actual results:

In the from will be display korrektly in the email-list, but in the mail-window it will show a "?" instead the umlaut. (see the attachment, red circles)


Expected results:

In both should be display corret.
Summary: umlaut from will display different in the email-list and mail window → umlaut in "from" will display different in the email-list and mail window
First of all, the message header 
From:"Kneipenturnier BC Überlingen"<kneipenturnier@bridgeclub-ueberlingen.example>
is invalid since non-ASCII characters must be RFC 2047 encoded.

Second, we know that different parts of the system treat bad headers differently, that's bug 1146099.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED

Let's dupe it over to bug 1023285 which will be fixed soon ;-)
