User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 / Build ID: 20160612004006 Steps to reproduce: Press Ctrl+Shift+M to open RDM Actual results: Windows are merged or if only one window open, then Error message: "At least 2 windows have be be opened before you can merge them" Expected results: Open RDM. This bug/change seems to have been introduced with Fx 48. Still present in 49. Not present in Fx 47. I'm on Windows 8.1.
Can you visit about:config ? and search for devtools.responsiveUI.___________ try modifying them.

Ahmed, here's a screenshot of what I see in about:config. I do not know what I could/should modify there. The available settings there look unrelated to this bug IMO.
Forgot to say: The screenshot is from Ubuntu 14.04 not Windows 8.1. But I have the problem on both systems with FDE 48/49.
Firefox doesn't provide a "merge windows" feature. Do you have an add-on installed that does that?

Dão , you're right. Thanks for looking it this! Tab Mix Plus was the culprit. I opened an issue for the add-on at https://bitbucket.org/onemen/tabmixplus/issues/29/ctrl-shift-m-overrides-responsive-design Closing this here as "RESOLVED INVALID".
