This is dependent on bug 1279472 we'd like to be able to cancel a pending uninstall / install restart state. For install there's the cancel method on the install object but for cancelling the pending uninstall there's cancelUninstall() which isn't currently exposed.

I think we can live without it given the limited usecase and that the dep was wontfixed.
