Build ID: 20160606200529
Firefox for Android

Steps to reproduce:

The "Asteriods Test3 - Asteroids, Shapes Shadows, Blending" benchmark of the CanvasMark benchmark suite stutters a lot when running it with Firefox on Android - while rendering is very fluent with Chrome, the Android 4.4.4 stock browser and with the Blackberry-10 stack browser.

I've created a stand-alone version of the mentioned test, available at: http://93.83.133.214/CanvasMarkFirefox/

Tested on:
LG G4 Dual, Snapdragon 808, Android Marshmallow
Alcatel One Touch Pop 2 4,5, Snapdragon 410, Android 4.4.4
Blackberry Q10 (with rendering artifacts)
OS: Unspecified → Android
Component: Untriaged → General
Product: Firefox → Firefox for Android
Using Firefox 50 and a Nexus 5x I don't see stuttering. Chrome 53 just crashes on the website before the test finishes.
Firefox-48b4 vs Chrome-51 on Nexus 5x: https://youtu.be/fMAvjyOlJww

Not only is the animation with Chrome smoother, the benchmark renders 2-3x more particles than with FF (as it tries to achieve a fixed frame-rate by reduding content).
Please test using Nightly 50.0 https://nightly.mozilla.org 48.0 code has been frozen for over 12 weeks.
Priority: -- → P5
(of course) still reproduceable with 50b1
Hi,

I was not able to reproduce the issue.

Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Mobile Nightly 63.0a1 (2018-08-27)
Operating System: Nexus 9 (Android 6.0.1)

Could you download the latest Nightly and retry?

Thank you!
