In bug 1102398, the prefs-search help-topic was set to go to the https://support.mozilla.org/kb/use-search-bar-firefox article.

Last year, much of the content was divided into separate articles.

Now we've got an issue of people using the help link in the Search panel of about:preferences and arriving at an article that doesn't explain any of the settings in the panel they were at.

The accompanying article discussion is at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-search-bar-firefox/discuss/6495

Joni, can you change the destination article to something more appropriate, then the KB contributors will makes sure all settings in the search panel are explained in the chosen article?

I suggest https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-settings-firefox
Thanks for pointing this out. I've changed the redirect.
