Can you describe how you open the favorites? (you mean bookmarks?) If you open bookmark from "Bookmarks Sidebar" or "Bookmarks Toolbar" with primary button click, it will open the bookmark in current tab. This is normal behavior. If you open them with middle (3rd) button click, it will open it in new tab. So, if it's former case, maybe you were using some extension to override the behavior? If latter case, there could also be some conflict with extension. If other case, please describe the detailed steps.

Clearing needinfo and closing the bug as incomplete due to lack of reply from the reporter. Please reopen the bug if you can still reproduce this, and include some more detailed steps to reproduce if possible. Thanks!
