Steps to reproduce:

using 'paste (only text)' keyboard shortcut

Actual results:

noting happen.

seems not functioning.


Expected results:

copy texts in clipboard must paste in firefox.
OS: Unspecified → Windows 7
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64

copy paste is fine, i mean 'Except any style or data/Just Paste Texts' is not working in ordinary input form.(Bugzilla, Google Main Search Input Form box)



i've test new profile, Win7 with FF47 W32onW64 and Win10 with FF 47.0 x64.


seems 'AdBlock Plus' using Ctrl+Shift+V shortcut as 'blockable lists' function.

and there's no deactivate options in those extention.


even if your manually deactivate ABP's keyboard shortcut on about:config,

this is still not functioning.


many old classic extentions before add FF's own Keyboard Shortcut got those problems.

some of using duplicated one, some of are prioritized then FF's own KB Shortcut.


but i think this is separate issues.

becuase FF's Ctrl+Shift+V function is working just fine before FF47.
(as far as I remember, Works fine till FF45or46?)


i've check the site only works this KB Shortcut is Google Groups.
FF's Locale : ko_KR

FF's Ctrl+Shift+V Function should be work on ordinary input/search box

Actual results:
Ctrl+Shift+V is works on only text editors like Google Groups

in ordinary input/search boxes, Only Ctrl+V works, Ctrl+Shift+V is not works.
No, Firefox's shortcut key shouldn't have higher priority than add-ons because we need to allow to customize the shortcut key behavior by add-ons.

You should report a bug to ABP since ABP shouldn't block the shortcut key.

i've already disable that extensions.adblockplus.sidebar_key but still not functioning consistently,
(works in some comment box, but not works in some search box)

should i find more variables from Extention's shortcut keys?



if Firefox's Shortcut keyz 'non-prioritized' is purpose for design,
then i think we need 'integrated shortcut manage' functions for lots of using extentions.

Please explain more specific so that we can reproduce your issue.
What text box will work and what text box will not? Does even the same text box behave inconsistently?
Did you try disabling or uninstalling ABP completely?

Ctr+Shi+V not work - Google.com Search Box, this Bugzilla Comment Box

Ctr+Shi+V work - Google's Text Editor like Gmail or Groups


yeap, i've already write upper comments.

completely disable ABP and other KB Shortcuts variable things, even using new clean default profile.
but still issue show on FF47.

i've tested 32bit FF47 on 64bit Win7 SP1 and 64bit FF47 on 64bit Win10.

all the OS, IME and FF's Language is ko-KR, but i don't think TSF/Language involved or KB Shortcut bug.


if this count on keyboard shortcuts catastrophe on FF.. then we need shortcut key viewer or settings?

For reference, Ctrl-Shift-V conflicting with Adblock Plus keyboard shortcuts is a known issue. Adblock Plus makes sure not to take any keyboard shortcuts that are already defined, Ctrl-Shift-V has no corresponding <key> element in browser.xul however - it's implemented via some other mechanism and isn't detectable because of that.

I have tested this issue on the latest Firefox release (47.0, Build ID 20160604131506) and I'm not really sure this is an issue. Indeed the Ctrl+Shift+V shortcut doesn't work in the bugzilla comment box or in a basic HTML text box, but that's because Ctrl+V already pastes as plain text in this case.
If you try to paste formatted text in a text box that has advanced formatting then Ctrl+Shift+V will work and will paste as plain text. That's why it works in gmail. 

Hong, do you want Ctrl+Shift+V to work in both cases? Meaning even if the text box does not support advanced formatting Ctrl+Shift+V should do the same thing as Ctrl+V?

that could be not bug in this case, but i'm little curious.

why former versions FF functioning 'Ctr+Shi+V' as 'Ctrl+V' when using in Plain text box, and now chnaged.

anyway, if developer & community are not inconvenience on this change and unanimity on that,
i'm fine with close this case.



regardless of this case, ShortCut key between FF and Extentions need some relationship establishment.

even major users like 'No Extentions or only using few Extentions', the're still suffered some of Extention developers non-sense KB Shortcut key conflict.

if FF got 'Current Keybind Viewer' or options, that could be helped in that cases.

Hong, I just want to be sure here, but what exactly is the issue you are experiencing? Because the summary says that Ctrl+Shift+V conflicts with other shortcuts and the STR say a shortcut is not working.
