User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0 Build ID: 20160607080223 Steps to reproduce: I couldn't yet make out a patter for this, it just happens sometimes to any kind of action on my part (closing a message window, clicking on a folder, etc.). Actual results: The Thunderbird window just closes (along with any other of its windows), but the process is still running (status "S"). Nothing is printed to STDOUT/STDERR. I've retrieved and attached a backtrace, but it's without symbols so probably not of too much use. If you have any suggestions for getting more helpful information, please tell me! Expected results: The window only closes when I close it. OS: Arch Linux 4.6.2-1 Thunderbird version: 45.1.1-1

> And it happens frequently? > Does it also happen with Thunderbird in safe mode? Define "frequently". It happens every few days, once or twice a week probably. It's not a major problem, but still annoying. I'll try safe mode and will report back in a few days (or sooner, if the bug still occurs). I'm using the AdblockPlus and Enigmail extensions, maybe one of them is the culprit. (I need the latter one, though, so not using that is not an option in the long term.) > We seem to be getting lots of archlinux reports lately https://mzl.la/296SuOQ > Unfortunately I don't have a solid tech contact for them That's weird, since I don't think they change the software much at all. But I'm not involved in its development either, sorry.

After about two weeks with no incident, I enabled just the Enigmail add-on again and after three days the problem occurred again. So I guess it's pretty probable that the cause of the problem is to be found there. I guess I'll close here and report the bug to the Enigmail maintainers. Thanks a lot for your help here in figuring this out!
