Details
It seems that LDAP searches does not work at all in Mozilla 0.9.8 OS/2 port.
When I tried Mozilla 0.9.8 Linux port with same simple LDAP settings against
same Novell server (its LDAP part) all searches work fine in contrast. Not sure
about Win32 port, I will try it later. But OS/2 port completely does not work.

Can you retry this with a build tomorrow (Saturday) - I think the fix for:
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124919

2 mkaply@us.ibm.com : Mike! Without LDAP Mozilla is unusable in corporate world!!!
2 sobotka@axess.com : Henry, can you, please, confirm here that this bug exist?
LDAP didn't work here before the MacOS fix, which I haven't tried, though David
Zuidema told me yesterday it doesn't work for him either.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-AT; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 (04)
In my rv 0.9.7 I can
- switch the bug ON by change to "german language"
- switch the bug OFF by change to "US"
I would have liked to test with 0.9.9., too, but- where is the button to change
the language ? (see bug 131537)

Sometimes mozilla will search the directory straight after a reboot, but it only
lasts for a few minutes then stops. Interestingly though, when it does search I
can select the address with the mouse. When it stops searching the directory and
gives a choice from local address books, selecting with the mouse doesn't work
(i.e whatever is highlighted is not pasted into the "To:" field). Using the
keyboard works everytime.

Is this still a problem? Rumor has it that OS/2 is happier since the LDAP C SDK
switch...

Looks like we're on a winner here!! I was using build 2002040808 which didn't
work with LDAP, I have downloaded and installed 2002041109 and so far LDAP is
working fine.
